I've heard that tax season is grueling. Is this true?
NO! Tax season is certainly busy, but with CG's focus on work/life balance, we make sure the increased workload on our employees is realistic and not overwhelming. The end result is that a busy season at CG is nowhere near the horror story that you've heard about at many other firms. Keep in mind that any company in any industry has a busy time. Your first tax season will feel a little stressful because it is new to you. This is our opportunity to reconnect with clients, identify new services needed and continue to earn the client's business. At CG, we make the "busy season" manageable by providing our employees a number of tools, resources and effective programs like HOT Management. Once summer comes around the workload tends to be much lighter and staff enjoy the reduced work schedule.

I don't know if I am interested in Audit or Tax. How am I supposed to decide?
At CG you don't need to decide right away! We want employees to have the opportunity to gain experience from both audit and tax engagements, as well as the opportunity to practice in other core service groups such as financial services, business valuation and many more. This experience provides you with the tools you need to determine what best fits you and your area of interest. Then, we will work with you to develop a customized career path that fits your needs.

What type of training will CG provide me?
